Happy Friday the 13th and welcome to Friday Food Flicks! Together, we will curate cool food-related photos and videos. Please share your food flicks here.

Here in the Sequoia National Forest our garden is smiling because, by some miracle, it is actually raining. Gardens seem to think they need a lot of rain. I just popped out into the drizzle to pick a bundle of arugula for lunch, a favorite green around here which mom wrote about this week (arugula). It has a new and happy-looking stand of kale next to it. My son found a treasure too — a five-day old Easter egg. I found one in my sneaker two days ago.

Because it’s Friday the 13th, I thought I’d scare you with a post from last week submitted by Holistic Kid: raw liver shooter. I joke because we actually feel pretty darned good when we eat liver–flash fried with grilled onions is our pick.

From fellow garden-lovers, we also had a post on natural pest control in the garden from This Chick Cooks and one on garden planning from Real Food Freaks. We continue to work on the gardening portion of this website ourselves.

Now, share your post!

Inspire some sort of emotion in us with your flick:
Mmmmm!:” Good food!
Awwww!:” Cute kids, eating, cooking, or gardening!
Ewwww!:” Industrial food!
Oooooo!:” Great idea!
Or best yet: a big belly laugh.

If your flick is of professional quality, you might inspire a bit of envy too, but it is not required. :)

This week I’m sharing my garden-inspired recipe for Floral Cream Cheese. Made with pretty, peppery Nasturtiams, it sounds and looks fancy…but it’s an easy-peasey recipe. As an added bonus, the meditation of making it is calming, and it’s a joy to share.
